So in addition to the new theme music on the login screen, we now see "Avatar Update Visible" and clearly the faces on most (all?) of my toons is different now. Do we have a choice on keeping our original faces or is this a forced update? If it is the latter, can we go somewhere to alter our faces via the new update or do we have to just simply be happy with what the devs decided?

The Avatar Update Visible will toggle between seeing everyone's characters as the updated avatars and as the old avatars. New (and old) faces can now be adjusted in the barber.

I still need to get dagum to a barber, they completely changed his hair style...

I think they made the Elven faces rounder. Miriean now looks like an old friend of mine who lived in Washington.

Yeah, Adh's face looks a bit too... robust.

My elven faces still seem pretty not-round. But maybe I just got lucky.

Thank you, everyone, so here is my next query on the subject. If we go to the barber to change our new faces, does it cost?

Should be a few silver for each change that you make.

They should not charge since they forced the change BUT the cost is extremely minimal so I suppose it's okay, thanks!

On the character selection screen, there's a small checkbox near the bottom left that says "Avatar update visible"... perhaps unchecking that would change it back? Haven't tried it thus far, so cannot say exactly what it does.
