So we all know windfola is closing. *sad face*

First point - Read your kin mails! we dont send them for the fun of it.

Second- We are moving to Crickhollow, why? because that's what we as a kin voted for.

Third- We are 4th or 5th on the list to move. yes there is a transfere button but its disabled until our time comes.

Fourth- In game you will receive the following mail from GMS and a lootbox with some goodies in it.

"Good Adventurer,

The day approaches when all must leave this world and find another, in which to continue on their journeys.

The number of active worlds is being reduced, and the World Consolidation event will provide you with steps required to make the move. The new transfer process will soon become available for this world, and, for the duration of the event, free. (Until then, transfers have been disabled.)

Please take the time now to review which worlds will remain active (below) and to coordinate with your friends and Kinships for orderly moves to a new home.

Kin Leaders have added responsibilities: they should organize their Kinships to choose a new world and then move before the other members, in order for the Kinship to automatically re-form.

For more updates and information, please visit the Lord of the Rings Online website and follow us on social media."

Fifth- Go back to point one! keep an eye out for kin mails for information regarding more information on the server move! (we do not have a date for our transfer set in stone yet)

I am not the only officer who is finding repeating information a tad tiresome, so please help us by helping yourselves and checking the kin site, lotro.com and kinship mails. Thank you.

Senior Officer- Rosa

Thanks Rosa.

In addition I would add that there is a link in the M.O.D. when we log in. If you want information, the best place to get it is from the horse's mouth. Go to the LOTRO site and read up.

https://www.lotro.com/en/game/articles/world-closure-announcement

Most importantly though, see point #1 in Rosa's original post.

just wanted to add to want Rosa has said... copied from the lotro article about transfers.

Shared Items Transfer

This new checkbox in the World Transfer interface will allow the transfer of all account level items that are shared between your characters on a world from one world to another. These items include the following:

o Account Shared Currency (Mithril Coins & Skirmish )
o Shared Storage
o Housing Storage
o Wardrobe
o Destiny

The Shared Items Transfer will always be a free service and will be available even if you have moved all characters off of a world, just in case you moved a character and left some account level items behind.

Housing Transfer

When transferring a character who owns a house on a world, the belongings and the history of the ownership of that house will go with that character to its new world. This means storage capacity, Upkeep Prepayments, Ownership time and Grace period time will all be remembered and applied to the house you might purchase on your destination world. When you log into the new world with your Home owner, you will find an email that will inform you of your previous address and will contain an attachment of currency equal to the purchase cost of the house. All of your deco is now in Escrow Housing storage, and character bound items are returned to the appropriate characters. If you already own a house on the destination world the upkeep, storage capacity and items will be granted to the existing house on the account.

Hope this helps also.

Heather :)

I tested out transferring between the Worlds that will remain. The Launcher walks you through very cleanly and clearly. You have options about how much or how little you want to take (characters, shared storage, etc.). Once you finalize, your account will be disabled until the transfer is complete. You get an email when it's done. Mine took about 15 seconds, but I've heard people say it took as long as 15 minutes.

I was able to snag my name on Landroval even though I couldn't create a new toon with it. So the naming preferences appear to be working.

as some may have noticed on the Launcher first round of transfers will begin Monday. It will be 1 US server and 1 EU server if it continues in that manner we will be in the 5th wave of transfers.

. . . the first round of World Transfers started Sept 14.

And now the 2nd in line two closing worlds (US Riddermark and EU Gilrain) started Sept 29. Windfola is 5th in line.

Maybe it will start to go faster, as Lotro Forum posts report that it is going smooth.
. . . so, maybe we'll get our transfer before Halloween? :)

Hey, Mordangil here. Long time no see!
First off, It's great to be back, just returned from a deployment and saw the xfers are coming soon.
Second, I'm going to be xfering toons from firefoot also since my kids there are going to crick also, so I'll have lol 100 to bring to raids some nights.
Third, I'm cross training into a new afsc, so my schedule will be busy, but I'll be sure to find playtime.
Wishing everyone a great time,
Mordangil

Ok, from what I see in the Crystal Ball, We might start transferring October 20.
Of course, we first wait for our Kin Leader(s) transfer then go when all is Okay.

On this web page
https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?576724-First-World-Transfers-Opening!
Vyvyanne announced the 3rd in line, US and EU:
World transfers off of Eldar will be available on October 5th.
World transfers off of Firefoot will be available October 6th.

... then announced the 4th in line, US and EU:
World transfers off of Anduin will be available on October 12th.
World transfers off of Nimrodel will be available October 13th.

Morthund (EU) and Windfola (US) are the 5th in line. Yea!!

Well, today I saw the official announcement:

World transfers off of Windfola will be available October 20th.

It's on the Forum site, post #5 by Vyvyanne:
here is the URL
https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?576724-First-World-Transfers-Opening!

Of course, we should not start transferring, until our Kin Leader has transferred and all is in order for us to go ahead!
Yea!
